CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATES

After we have obtained your DA, you are ready to proceed to the Construction Certificate which must be issued by a separate company - Accredited Certifiers Pty Ltd. It could be considered a conflict of interest for the consultancy company obtaining the development approval, to also issue the construction certificate. It is more suitable for separate persons, and separate companies, to be at arms length, and be independent of each other. Accredited Certifiers Pty Ltd, a separate company, independent of EBC, ensures the conflict of interest laws are complied with.

The purpose of the construction certificate is to ensure detailed plans and specifications are provided by your design professionals. The DA typically does not address the all important construction matters such as structural adequacy, hydraulics, fire safety, and landscape design

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED :

Fire safety Schedule	download
Download this form when you need to obtain a construction certificate for a commercial building and industrial building work. This form needs to be attached to the application for construction certificate. It is not required for residential building work. You must ensure a qualified person such as an architect or engineer nominates the fire safety services in accordance with the Building Code of Australia.

Download this form if your proposed work involves any structural, hydraulic, mechanical, civil roadwork and driveways. This design statement will be required to confirm that the design meets the proper levels of design.

This form can be used to demonstrate compliance with any DA conditions calling for the colours or textures of the external parts of your building.
