  MANDATORY BUILDING INSPECTIONS

Mandatory inspections have now been introduced into the building laws for both residential and commercial building work (all building work) This means that the builder must contact Accredited Certifiers to carry out the necessary building inspections. A building inspection can be booked in the client enquiry section to the right of this page.

WHY ACCREDITED CERTIFIERS?

  • Convenient checklists ensure your builder completely understands the building inspection requirements;
  • Fully detailed written inspection reports for footings, reinforced concrete slabs, framing, wet areas, hydraulic work, fire safety and final inspections;
  • We do not take seriously any annoying neighbour complaints which are unsubstantiated. We ensure the project runs smoothly and conflict resolve any valid neighbour concerns as well, such as breaching of the development consent or the building laws.

Compliance Certificate download
Download this form if your proposed work involves any structural, hydraulic, mechanical, civil roadwork and driveways. It can also be used to confirm a development consent condition has been complied with. This compliance certificate will be required to confirm that the building works have been inspected and are to a suitable level of performance.
Fire Safety Certificate download

All commercial and industrial work requires a Fire Safety Certificate which must be signed by all owners of the building. It is completed when you have installed all your fire safety services by a qualified installer who should give you a certificate that the installation has been carried out to the Australian Standard. The Fire Safety Certificate must be with EBC before you occupy your building.
